Captain's Blog, Stardate  01262005.

We've been travelling towards our destination, planet February, the second world in the Gregorian Calendar system, for almost a month now.  Our ETA at this time is close to one more week.  Our chief scientist says we should not be encountering any more turbulence or other obstacles on our course, whether it be the widespread asteroid field we just passed, known in this sector as the Snowstorm, or strange thermal radiation events that quite heated up our ship.  Anyway, the clock ticks.  Ensign Thumper has signed on as resident extraterrestrial music historian.  She has great knowledge on percussive instruments and other forms of idiophones from approximately 100 different cultures, stretching across this galaxy.  Hope to collaborate with her some time during our next shoreleave.

Cap'n Rob, over and out.
